It’s been earthquake mania in the US so far this week.  Is all this shaking putting preparation into your head?   Why not give yourself a little piece of mind and do one thing to prepare today. If you do not know about the Great Shakeout, now is a great time to join and be part of it.  There is also no better time like the present to secure your home, prepare yourself, and secure your stuff.  Whatever you do, take a picture or screenshot, and post it to our Facebook page.  We want to see you prepare!

  1. Charlotte Prater says:

One more thing for earthquake safety is this bumpy, rubbery shelf liner. After I put it in my dish cubboard a few years ago, we had a 5.6 quake. Not one dish or glass even moved, but pots and pans in the lower cupboard were tossed everywhere. Now I Have this type of shelf liner on my bookshelves and every other shelf except the linen closet.

Space blankets should also be in every automobile and every emergency kit.
