Why Under The Bed Is A Good Place For Your Grab-and-Go Bag

Are you one of those people that enjoy a good scavenger hunt?  What if you were pressed for time, stressed out and your family needed to evacuate ASAP?  What then?  It’s a little different when you don’t have the luxury of time and peace of mind to hunt and gather basic essentials throughout your home to create a basic, bare bones, no frills go bag.

Our tip to you.  Save yourself the stress and don’t waste precious minutes on this scavenger hunt DURING a crisis since that time could be better spent on making sure your family and pets are safe and sound.

And as Balu would say “Look for the bare necessities, the simple bare necessities” BEFORE an emergency strikes and put those in a grab-and-go bag under your bed.

Where’s A Good Place For Your Grab-and-Go Bag

But why would the furballs under your bed need a go-bag?  Well let’s just say the emergency supplies are actually for you.  Earthquakes
can happen at any time, like the middle of the night or in the wee hours.  Isn’t that nice?  But don’t worry if you’re not a morning person or night owl because once you’ve created a grab-and-go bag before an emergency, you’ll have it when you need it, right where you need it, under your bed!

With a grab-and-go bag secured tightly to the leg of your bed, you can be sure that it will be where you left it, despite the quake’s best efforts to shake things up.  Plus, with basics like sturdy closed
toed shoes, a flashlight and extra clothes right underneath your bed, you’ll be able to avoid stepping on any broken glass.  Your dust mask and work gloves will come in handy and protect your spirit fingers or jazz hands if you need to move any glass or debris as you make your way to safety.

So folks, keep it simple.  Your grab-and-go bag doesn’t have to be fancy and it can even be a plastic bag.  As long as you toss key items in there and secure it underneath your bed, you will be all set and ready to roll with any punches that nature throws your way.
